Gerry Joe Weise & Rick Weise Group
In 1993 Gerry Joe Weise invited his younger brother Rick Weise from Tewantin QLD Australia (who played with the Azmen, the Hipshooters, and was a David Jones jazz drummer student at the Sydney Conservatory), to join Gerry Joe on a three month French tour playing drums. They were joined by bassists : Patrice Bosvot, Philippe Dandrimont, J.M.Garyga, and for a few concerts with harmonicist Olivier Oudy. The most outstanding concerts were the Festival du Devenir in St Quentin, Country Club in Paris, Mille Club in Orsay, Gold Coast Bros in Dijon, and by far the GIBUS Club in downtown Paris to a raging audience.

GERRY JOE WEISE at the GIBUS
Concert Thursday Nov 4
Just before Patrick Eudeline and Sound Exp on Friday, Gerry Joe Weise and his brother Rick fresh out of Australia on drums, played at the Gibus Club, rue du Fg du Temple, on Thursday 4th November just a little before midnight, to a real wild crowd. Blonde haired American girls rushed the stage at the end of the concert screaming for more ! The audience, not just warm in manner, but over enthusiastically crammed the venue to take a peak at Paris' up-and-coming new blues guitar hero from Australia. Gerry Joe Weise has been touring France for a couple of years now and hasn't ceased to astound blues supporters, his live concerts are magical events, gaining him an army of devotees across the country. The Australian played originals and covers, a little Stones and Hendrix, but lots of Albert King, Freddie King, and B.B.King (who Gerry Joe jammed with). The trio has a great stage act with lots of energetic drumming from Gerry Joe's brother Rick. When asked what he thought of the night's concert, Gerry Joe Weise exclaimed, "Now I know why this place is one of the Police's first favourite gigs !" Apparently Gerry Joe played the night before at the Mille Club in Orsay, their next Paris concert will be at the Country Golf Club in St Cloud, on November 26. Don't miss this trio when they come to your town.

Gerry Joe Weise at the Gold Coast Bros.
Guitarist, vocalist, composer, and a real wizard on the 6-strings, the Australian Gerry Joe Weise has toured around the World ever since he was influenced by the Blues and Rock. Among others he has toured with the musicians from Manfred Mann and Alexis Korner. On drums will be Gerry Joe's brother Rick Weise, one of Australia's better drummers. Rick has joined his brother for a 16 date French tour, including three major concerts in Paris and in Orsay. The two brothers hadn't played together since the mid 70s in Sydney. For the last decade Rick has toured frequently around Australia with several bands. He was a student with David Jones (a drummer appreciated by Carlos Santana), and became an excellent drummer, like his brother Gerry Joe, touring 150 concerts a year.
Gerry Joe Weise was successful on the Chicago and San Francisco Blues Festival European tours, and with Buddy Guy at the 12th Amiens Jazz Festival. The trio has Patrice Bosvot on bass, Rick Weise on drums, Gerry Joe Weise on guitar and vocals; and a repertoire of a variety of blues rhythms from rock to country. With originals and classic covers, the night promises to be a hot one, on Friday 3 December at 9 pm, at the Gold Coast Brothers Saloon.
